You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Thanks a lot for the lecture videos & the guide resources.

Magoosh was very helpful for the below pointers:
1. The "Dashboard" is parallel to none right now in GRE preparations. It is the best online resource available, as compared to other resources available.

2. The lectures helped me tremendously. Rather than directly jumping onto the questions, reviewing the lectures on the same to know the problem solving approach did wonders for me.

3. Online help is another very impressive feature. I contacted a GRE guide online and we discussed about personalized test pacing, which suits me. That was of great help during the exam.

4. Flashcards were of vast utility, and the sync between the APP and the online resource on my PC was commendable and helpful as well.

All in all, it was an amazing experience! I'll be preparing for TOEFL now which is booked on 21st September.

Time management strategies and typical questions

Magoosh was extremely helpful, I was able to get a great feel for the types of questions that would be on the exam. In addition, there were some questions that closely matched the practice questions that were presented in Magoosh.

I had never taken the GRE before and going into the exam I was nervous, I really had no idea what to expect. However, once I sat down and began taking the exam I realized that it very familiar due to the Magoosh practice I had done. Not only were the questions similar, but I knew what types of sections to expect (2 writing passages, 2 quant, 2 verbal, and 1 bonus). I really appreciate all the help, it helped me hit the score I was aiming for. Thank you again!

Helped me review material for the test. Specifically how to tackle the verbal questions and refreshed my memory of math topics that I hadn’t studied since high school

Practice sections and video lectures.

The vocabulary flashcards helped a lot in the verbal section. And I watched some math lessons and learned to write the issue and argument the right way.

It helped me most by having a question bank with video explanations to each question. I learned new tricks from watching the answer videos even if I got the question right to learn more content.

Math — definitely probability

All the practice problems were immensely helpful. I found all the videos on the essays to be the most helpful part. Thanks Magoosh!

Good adaptive practice

I liked having specific lessons each day to keep me on track with studying, and I found being able to go back and redo the practice questions I got wrong before very helpful. From the first practice test I took to my real test, my score went up about 20 points, and Magoosh was a huge part of that.
