I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

I loved Magoosh's study plans because they really helped me stay accountable and make progress each day. The amount of work each day was perfect so that I felt like I was making progress little by little. The video explanations were awesome. It really helped me learn the material and they even explained common mistakes.

Practice problems, with video explanations. I really loved the video explanations, as a visual learner. Taking full length practice exams. Learning the ins and outs of the exam. Preparing myself to be prepared mentally for test day by knowing the format. Learning how to succeed at taking the exam. Knowing tricks to look for. Making a strategy for approaching each section and type of question.

Magoosh was an excellent resource. I did a 3 month plan and scored 83rd percentile in both math and verbal. I recommend it to everyone taking the GRE. Once through quite a bit of questions and all the videos, I cracked open a book from another company and went through it like a hot knife through butter.

Although not indicative by my quantitative score, my understanding of the areas I was struggling in (e.g. probability and combinations/permutations) vastly improved. On the two timed practice tests I took with through ETS I actually scored a 164 and 167. Unfortunately, during the actual test on the second section of the quantitative section I lost track of time and had to guess on the last 4 questions, which I suspect hurt my score.

I was over prepared! Magoosh practice questions were harder than the real GRE. I also really liked that the lessons were short videos, instead of long ones.

Tricks for calculations involving big numbers, such as permutations and combinations, proved invaluable on the GRE.

For math, I liked the videos they explained lessons and problems well for the most part. For reading, the strategy helped a lot in narrowing down questions as opposed to answering questions which was good because the problems became less overwhelming.

I felt calm and confident going into the test that I had prepared for every type of question. I really appreciated the estimated score on the dashboard based on answered questions; I saw myself improve in my math and verbal skills over time through Magoosh, which was extremely encouraging.
