I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Practices with different difficulty level helped a lot. Being able to customize the practice also is very useful. Additionally, I find the explanations for each practice very helpful when I got the question wrong.

Totally prepared me for all aspects of the test in under a month!

The video lessons and questions for the verbal section were extremely helpful. For the math section, the diversity and number of questions truly boosted my performance.

Magoosh has lots of realistic practice problems with clear explanations of different ways to approach a solution. I was trying to get into the 165+ range on the Quant section, so having so much study material, and a way to approach my studying methodically really made a difference. The videos they have on each topic were surprisingly helpful, and I ended up watching every single one of them. Anyone trying to get a top score who has the time to devote to studying should strongly consider Magoosh.

Thank you! I loved being able to make my own study schedule. It was also very affordable relative to the training courses I could find. Honestly I'm not able to afford those programs, nor can I take off 1-2 weeks from my work which is full time, so this was a huge help for me. Compared to where I was at the start, I was able to increase my math score by about 8-10 points and my verbal by 10-13 points. I'm sort of in awe. Also I really appreciated the description in one of the tutorials of how to expect my progress to plateau and then improve again. That helped me in staying motivated, and I found it to be true. Overall it took me about 9 months studying to get where I wanted to be.

Learning vocabulary, practice problems, working on pacing and strategies

Magoosh helped me so much with math! It raised my quantitative score from the 58th percentile up to as high as the 80th, an 8 point difference, in only a month! Magoosh thin-slices exactly what you need to know to succeed on the quantitative section and I’m so glad I subscribed.

I wanted to prep before I took the test and if I didn’t use Magoosh, I probably would have scored in the mid 150s. I bought the 5 LB Manhattan Prep book and the ETS study guide and they were pretty garbage at explaining things. The Magoosh videos were 👌🏼 and the structured lessons made studying for the GRE much more digestible. I may retake the exam as my goal is a 330; however, I am perfectly content with this score if I choose to not retest.

The team was extremely patient in answering the questions. Even though I pestered them with questions around the same topic, they answered them with the exact information and somehow even more aptly, which definitely helped me.
