You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The videos broke down concepts and introduced strategies I would not have otherwise learned. The practice questions combined with explanations were the key to my success.

I have not gotten my full results yet, but when I saw my rudimentary scores I felt very content. The magoosh website, via its vast variety of questions and practice sets helped me imrpove my verbal skills magnificently and maintain my math knowledge. It helped me gauge my pace and manage time accordingly. The subscription fee was fair and much more affordable than any other GRE prep course. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the amazing people in the magoosh team.

It was a very accurate representation of the real GRE format. I felt very comfortable taking the exam! I had seen every type of question before, and had practiced them thoroughly on Magoosh. Also, the instructional videos are extremely helpful. I applied what I learned in the videos to test day.

Improving score.

The math videos saved me. I feel like comparing my current math score to my previous math score is a bit misleading since I originally took the GRE six years ago. When I started prep a month ago, I was in rough shape on the math section and the ETS book was not super helpful. The math videos really clarified things and helped me remember things I haven’t used in years. I also liked the deep bench of practice questions and the flashcard app.

I focused on verbal lessons and practices. Magoosh gives me a sense of what GRE sentences and questions may look like, thus making me seasoned. The instruction and explanations to many problems are also helpful.

Magoosh verbal questions prepped me up . I could relate with the concepts tested on ETS verbal with my learnings from magoosh.

Realistic prep questions and lessons, good difficulty

Problems were slightly harder than the actual GRE, which made it much easier when I did the test.

Magoosh was the perfect practice tool. I used Magoosh exclusively. There flexibility was great - to be able to practice anywhere and for any length of time. I think all the practice is why I was able to be so successful.

I studied primarily using Magoosh, slowly over the course of the year. The videos are focused and well organized. It made my studying very efficient. For essays though, I relied on this little book called the Lively Art of Writing. Although the Magoosh videos did well to supplement the book.

The lessons, practice questions, and vocab flashcards were integral to my success on the GRE.

The number sense in the quantitative sections was really good in how much it was emphasized. Learning mathematical mechanisms and logic helped a lot more than memorization.

Helped me narrow down which math strategies I was struggling with, and alllwed me to practice those more.

Magoosh gave me a lot of practice questions, which allowed me to know that types of questions were likely to appear on the real exam. Video lessons really helped, and categorized question types allowed me to focus on weak areas.

It completely prepared me for the material I needed to know, the question format, and the timing of the test.

The math review videos were super helpful for pointing out time saving shortcuts. By far the most beneficial part for me.
