You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Problems were slightly harder than the actual GRE, which made it much easier when I did the test.

Magoosh was the perfect practice tool. I used Magoosh exclusively. There flexibility was great - to be able to practice anywhere and for any length of time. I think all the practice is why I was able to be so successful.

I studied primarily using Magoosh, slowly over the course of the year. The videos are focused and well organized. It made my studying very efficient. For essays though, I relied on this little book called the Lively Art of Writing. Although the Magoosh videos did well to supplement the book.

The lessons, practice questions, and vocab flashcards were integral to my success on the GRE.

The number sense in the quantitative sections was really good in how much it was emphasized. Learning mathematical mechanisms and logic helped a lot more than memorization.

Helped me narrow down which math strategies I was struggling with, and alllwed me to practice those more.

Magoosh gave me a lot of practice questions, which allowed me to know that types of questions were likely to appear on the real exam. Video lessons really helped, and categorized question types allowed me to focus on weak areas.

It completely prepared me for the material I needed to know, the question format, and the timing of the test.

The math review videos were super helpful for pointing out time saving shortcuts. By far the most beneficial part for me.

I found Magoosh to be a comprehensive guide to crack the GRE. I haven't used any other material.

Great Math practice and vocabulary flashcards.

It felt like I improved exponentially. I genuinely never thought I would hit 160 for the math, I was still getting the harder questions wrong on practice tests up until taking the actual test; however, I stuck with the study plan completed all the practice questions and tests from Magoosh and Manhattan Prep. The Math videos were extraordinarily helpful - especially the short cuts that were provided to help with mental math. As for the Verbal section, Reading comprehension has always been my strong suit, but Magoosh really taught me how to apply that strength to the GRE. Once you understand the logic behind each question and what the test takers want, the Verbal section becomes easier to maneuver. While I knew I would do better on the Verbal Section, I had no idea it would be 11 points higher than my last score. I have Magoosh to thank for that.

The math problems as well as their explanations were extensive and very clear! While brief, the AWA section was also quite helpful

I watched every math video and did nearly every math question. It definitely improved my speed and also taught me new math tricks.

The verbal practice really helps!

I was really nervous for the GRE because English was not my first language but my girlfriend suggested Magoosh to me. I diligently watched all of the lesson videos and did practice problems, as well as the vocabulary builder. For me, hearing someone explain something to me and visually see the explanation is the most effective. Vocabulry builder was also fun because it ignites my competitive nature. Overall, Magoosh truly helped me learn the strategies of taking the GRE, improve on my vocabulary, and make the GRE less intimidating.

It gave me better strategies and enlightened me to the ridiculous, garbage math concepts and techniques found on the test.

The videos were wonderful!

I enjoyed the video explanations after each practice problems because they helped me understand why I got the problem wrong.

It made the math considerably easier. The amount of practice material and vocabulary resources were very helpful

Videos were extremely helpful. Explained all content that I needed to review. Problem explanations were also fantastic. Vocab Flashcards are good. My first diagnostic from ETS had me i the 70th percentile, and in a month this summer before college I officially scored in the 90th using Magoosh and the ETS books. Very happy.

I appreciated the vocabulary builder and the video lessons were great.

It taught me so much about how to take the test and answer the questions efficiently and correctly. It also helped me stay calm, engaged, and to and keep it all in perspective by being funny and relatable at appropriate times.
