You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

More than anything else, Magoosh helped me know how to make educated guesses on difficult problems and not fall for trap problems. I was extremely aware of the likely trap answers on the actual exam, and it helped me eliminate answer choices and make stronger guesses.

Provided a study plan with well organized topics for all 3 sections of the GRE. The structure was helpful because it helped me identify areas that I needed to work on. Practice was possible also because of all the practice problems available with each video explanation. A big help in math were the counting and probability modules. Surprisingly, the AWA sections were also really helpful: they helped me hash out my own outline/formula for writing the essays. Vocab flashcarda were also tremendously useful.

Questions extremely similar to real gre questions. Videos very helpful. Practice tests and customizable practice very helpful. Nice interface.

Gave me tons of practice math questions WITH detailed solutions

Magoosh was so helpful! Everything from the flexibility, to the practice questions, to the lessons really helped me master everything I needed to know. The format was easy and convenient, and all the instructors replied with very helpful emails whenever I had questions. I definitely owe my score to Magoosh!

Magoosh helped me by providing a huge variety of helpful videos. It was very nice to watch videos about particular concepts. Additionally the practice questions were so helpful. I loved how interactive it was. Finally, the writing videos were immensely helpful. I hadn’t really prepared for the writing until the day before, but just watching the videos made me feel more confident about how to organize my essays and what the writers are looking for.

The Magoosh videos for the verbal section as well as the large set of practice problems helped me to improve my verbal reasoning aptitude. The methodology suggested by Magoosh is very effective. I also referred the Magoosh Flashcards app and found many words from it in my actual exam.

Magoosh made think about verbal beyond definitions of words, and I crushed the section as a result!

For math — the timer on questions really help. I’m good a math, but a pretty slow problem solver so time has always been a big issue.

I have not gotten my full results yet, but when I saw my rudimentary scores I felt very content. The magoosh website, via its vast variety of questions and practice sets helped me imrpove my verbal skills magnificently and maintain my math knowledge. It helped me gauge my pace and manage time accordingly. The subscription fee was fair and much more affordable than any other GRE prep course.
