You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

With a month to prepare, the Magoosh program really helped me identify the areas I most needed to improve while teaching me practical approaches to all types of questions. I especially liked the fact that almost all video explanations for practice problems were within 1-2 minutes in length which is good pacing for the problems on the test itself. The question bank is a great feature that allows you to familiarize yourself with the type of questions on the GRE. Also, you can practice for a long time without getting too bored. I think that mainly what made the difference.

Magoosh was my savior and I cannot thank them enough for being generous and extending my subscription for over a month and especially when I needed the most. As an engineer, math was my strength heading into the GRE. However, by practicing all the Magoosh questions and listening to many of the math videos, I was able to significantly improve my pace. I've always struggled some with timed tests. The verbal flashcards helped to expand my vocabulary.

Improved my number sense and taught a better approach to the Quantitative Reasoning questions.

Well, in earnest I gave myself roughly five weeks to study intensively for the exam. I used an ETS practice exam, as well as all the Magoosh study materials. Before I started studying, my ETS practice exam score was a 160V and 154Q. After studying for 5 weeks with Magoosh, my score on the real deal was a 163V and 167Q, so a 16 point total difference.

The study plans really helped. I was self learning to prepare for GRE. I was a total newbie before using Magoosh.

The questions from Magoosh is very good. I keep practicing and reviewing till the last prep day. Eventually, I found my own pace to solve problem after several weeks training. Magoosh vocabulary flashcard is one of the best vocabulary materials that I have used.

It was helpful to have a study guide that allowed me to adjust based on my skill level and time. I also liked the reminders emails a lot!

I have been out of school for over 30 years and needed to reboot my math skills. Magoosh was great -- broke it down, presented it block by block and gave me what I needed. I could have done better only by spending more time with Magoosh.

Clear some concepts and help practice.

Helped me improve my verbal score (compared to practice exams) a bit. But it didn't help me with cracking 160, which is what I wanted.

There was some GRE-relevant math that I didn't know at all when I took the test the first time. I learned everything I needed to know from the tutorial videos, and the practice problems helped the information sink in. My final quant score was a bit disappointing, but this was my fault. (I got stuck on a problem that I knew how to do, but I didn't get the needed insight in time.)
