You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Math review helped a lot and the quizzes after sections were useful in both areas.

The test questions were much, much more accurate than any other test prep services'. Accordingly, my scores were more accurate than I got from any other service. (This is excepting, of course, the actual ETS practice tests.)

I used Magoosh only for math and study planning prep, and I felt it was an exhaustive overview of all the potential math concepts covered in the test. It also provided me with the fundamentals of the test composition and recommended a good study schedule and identified useful resources to supplement Magoosh. It was my foundation in planning for the GRE.

I've been a full-time software engineer from 2011 - 2016 (inclusive), having neither read very widely nor done much of any quantitative reasoning for the six years following my undergraduate degree. Magoosh's lesson videos brought *everything* back, and even taught me a few new tricks!

I went from zero to basically-test-ready by just watching your videos and doing the quiz questions, as well as using your vocab flash cards and apps. I also read the Princeton Review guide to the essay (it was very quick - I was out of time).

I was happy with my result given the limited time I could put in (around my job, travel, etc). When I do it again, I will allocate another 200% of study time to just doing practice questions: i barely scratched the surface of what Magoosh offered.

Magoosh gave me lots of practice and excellent explanations for problems that I got wrong. The writing lessons were also excellent and provided useful tips for approaching the two different essay prompts.

Magoosh is amazing! It definitely surpassed my expectations. The video lessons were comprehensive and easy to understand. In addition, the email support Magoosh offers is unparalleled. My questions were often answered within hours with clear and detailed explanations. Each staff member I interacted with was friendly and eager to help. I also liked how I could control the practice problem sets to target content, difficulty, and speed. From the detailed video explanations for each practice problem and lesson, to the informative blog posts, and incredibly useful Magoosh Vocab apps, and I can't imagine having studied any other way and gotten the same results.

It not only helps me with my vocabularies but also lets me not to be panicked when facing a whole new question.

Magoosh help me in finding logical structures and preparing me well in reading.

The math lessons were great.

Learning enough math basics to get a decent score for a humanities program for a person who would otherwise not be able to answer a single math question. It also helped me to understand what taking the test would actually be like so that I wasn't surprised by anything on test day.

I absolutely loved Magoosh! I found the videos quite a bit more engaging than a study book, and I found the lecture explanations clear and concise. I also really appreciated the day-by-day 1 month study plan--as this helped me stay very focused.

Practice tests

The amount and difficulty of practice quant questions was of unmeasurable help to me. I needed to improve my quant score by at least 3 points and I managed to improve it by staggering 8 points.

The math instructional videos made concepts in mathematics I've never been able to learn simple. I went into the test with a broader understanding of mathematics and mathematical logic than I've ever had in my life. While I only took the test once, my math score from the first practice test I took was below a 150 and I got a 159 on test day. Highly recommend.

With Verbal questions mostly. I could hear Chris's voice inside my head while I was taking the test telling me which answer choices were wrong. It gave me more confidence than hearing my own voice.

The customized practice sessions were very useful.

It's been so long since I've used high school math that I've forgotten everything. I really relied on the Magoosh videos to relearn math and I loved that you can watch the videos at 1.5x the speed (because I didn't have much time!). The practice questions are great, and it's super helpful to be able to select the topics you want to focus on and flag the ones you want to review. I work full time and didn't have much time to prep for the GRE and I really feel lucky that I ended up selecting Magoosh as my prep tool. When you're spending your weekends and evenings prepping, it's much more pleasant to watch videos than read boring descriptions of how to do geometry. And it really is true that Magoosh is effective at helping you to score high on the exam. I like how the Magoosh practice exams were slightly harder than the actual exams. It pushed me to work harder.

As someone who needed a math boost, Magoosh was particularly helpful. When I was deciding how to study for the GRE, I read that Magoosh was far superior to Kaplan when it comes to math prep. Having used both, I absolutely agree. The lessons are informative and I appreciated the focus in reasoning instead of rote memorization. The practice questions are very similar to the questions on the actual exam and the explanation videos that accompany the practice problems were indispensable.

As far as verbal preparation goes, I was particularly fond of the Magoosh vocabulary app. Also, the online lesson videos were very informative in terms of GRE strategy.

Easy to use, love that you can track your progress.

I kind of miss Magooshing now that I'm done with the GRE...
