You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It helped my with test-taking strategies, approaches to remembering vocabulary in context, active reading skills, and math fundamentals.

I only had about 20 days to prepare for the GRE. Magoosh concise and concentrated and helped me review material I hadn't dabbled in for years.

Practice questions and test were helpful

The math lessons were very helpful. It was nice to know the secrets for beating the test. Math was where I needed the most help, so I spent most of my time there, but the few verbal videos I watched were also helpful.

Good practice problems, I did all of them before the actual exam and felt well prepared!

Great study plan and structure to the lessons so that it was easy to stay on-track.

Forced me to learn elegant and faster ways to solve problems than the slow brute force methods I'd been using. This gained me more time on the quant which was the main issue I had with that section

The way that the program breaks down problems is extremely intuitive (for me). I liked how it was less about tricks and more about understanding what a question is asking and how to approach it. I also found the set up of the program to be excellent. I felt like I could make a little progress every day and continue to move forward. The questions on Magoosh are harder than the real GRE, so by the time you get to the real test it feels easy.

Plenty of complicated math problems helped me to improve my score. Still, I didn't have much time to solve all the verbal problems - that's why probably I didn't make it and scored a bit lower than before.

Great self-guided way to re-learn math concepts one by one

I'm a neanderthal clicking rocks at math, so I focused on that. It helped immeasurably by walking me through each step, with scaling difficulty until I actually grasped the underlying concepts. Mike McGarry's sonorous tones on x1.25 speed is a symphony of knowledge.

Magoosh helped me remember my long lost math memories and taught me to think about what the test makers were doing and what traps were armed inside the questions.

Math review helped a lot and the quizzes after sections were useful in both areas.

The test questions were much, much more accurate than any other test prep services'. Accordingly, my scores were more accurate than I got from any other service. (This is excepting, of course, the actual ETS practice tests.)

I used Magoosh only for math and study planning prep, and I felt it was an exhaustive overview of all the potential math concepts covered in the test. It also provided me with the fundamentals of the test composition and recommended a good study schedule and identified useful resources to supplement Magoosh. It was my foundation in planning for the GRE.

I've been a full-time software engineer from 2011 - 2016 (inclusive), having neither read very widely nor done much of any quantitative reasoning for the six years following my undergraduate degree. Magoosh's lesson videos brought *everything* back, and even taught me a few new tricks!

I went from zero to basically-test-ready by just watching your videos and doing the quiz questions, as well as using your vocab flash cards and apps. I also read the Princeton Review guide to the essay (it was very quick - I was out of time).

I was happy with my result given the limited time I could put in (around my job, travel, etc). When I do it again, I will allocate another 200% of study time to just doing practice questions: i barely scratched the surface of what Magoosh offered.

Magoosh gave me lots of practice and excellent explanations for problems that I got wrong. The writing lessons were also excellent and provided useful tips for approaching the two different essay prompts.

Magoosh is amazing! It definitely surpassed my expectations. The video lessons were comprehensive and easy to understand. In addition, the email support Magoosh offers is unparalleled. My questions were often answered within hours with clear and detailed explanations. Each staff member I interacted with was friendly and eager to help. I also liked how I could control the practice problem sets to target content, difficulty, and speed. From the detailed video explanations for each practice problem and lesson, to the informative blog posts, and incredibly useful Magoosh Vocab apps, and I can't imagine having studied any other way and gotten the same results.

It not only helps me with my vocabularies but also lets me not to be panicked when facing a whole new question.
