You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Helped me a lot in verbal, Chris' explanations were awesome. Vocabulary was never a problem for me but the verbal videos helped me understand how a lot of different GRE words are used in various situations. I was not very good at realizing how certain words could mean different things depending on the context and Magoosh videos helped me with that. It is fun, interactive, the detailed breakdown is nice, helped me know where I needed to focus.

Accurately modeled question structure and rigor

It provided me with focus and a plan. I hadn't seen high school math in 20 years and I needed a refresher on everything and this was perfect. I didn't study for the verbal, since the score didn't matter for my program.

It teaches me how to solve the problems and helps me to grasp quickly about the logic of the sentence.

Magoosh helped me by showing me what kinds of questions I was going to see on the exam, and exactly how to prepare for them. Aside from relearning math concepts I had long forgotten (my last formal math class was more than 15 years ago) and introducing me to new and expanded vocabularies, Magoosh provided test-taking strategies that I used not only in preparation but also during the test itself. Having had the opportunity to practice those methods made the actual test much less stressful. The video lessons and explanations were fantastic. The flashcard apps for both verbal and quant were quite helpful in my studying.

It was great to be able to see the solutions in writing or via video. I also enjoyed using the vocabulary builder app.

Magoosh exposed me to the types of questions I'd see on the GRE and gave me opportunities to review knowledge areas I hadn't used in awhile.

great strategies and tips, the study plan was a little counterproductive (i commit more when I make my own study plan) but it helped me to know how to use the Magoosh system. I LOVE this program, its innovative, user friendly and is good for quick studying, I had amazing customer service that was personable and effective- props to Liz Chen who represented your Magoosh fabulously.

Good video. Practice test really helps. Good flashcards. Those were only two resources that I used for preparation.

Magoosh provides a convenient way to prepare for the GRE. They are very customisable to anyone's schedule or way of studying. The videos provide many techniques and the practice test are also very accurate.

The video tutorials outlining strategies in math REALLY helped. Even the RC strategies were amazing. I think I will never forget the term "verbiage" thanks to Chris now.

Great way to practice lots of math questions by difficulty level and content topic

You really helped me in the math part! The magoosh questions were very challenging, at times, but really taught me various new techniques that are not in other GRE-study stuff! You especially improved my ability to solve counting and integer property problems - Mike really does an awesome job explaining these questions and developing "recipes" on how to solve them in general! However, I also liked the general magoosh training videos on other stuff - all of this also really helped me. You guys are the best!
