I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

It helped me understand the concepts of the math questions and get a better idea of what areas of the test to focus on. The score predictors allowed me to focus heavily on math instead of verbal, which was a useful insight.

Magoosh has really good practice questions for both Quants and Verbal. Practicing them frequently is the key to get a good score on GRE.

The videos took on a life of its own. While taking the test, I could hear the voices of the Magoosh experts in my head talking through the problem like the video explanations. "Well, let's think about this. This equation is actually a quadratic, so you can rearrange it like..." "Answer A is tempting but they don't specify in the passage that..."

The math videos were extremely helpful for someone who had extra time to study because they gave you foundational knowledge, rather than the approach of "beating the test".
I appreciated the timer on the problems because this kept me aware of the time-based nature of the test. Math speed was my biggest problem coming into the test, and I think this helped me gauge my progress over the course of my studying.
The ability to choose the types of practice problems was especially useful to target areas I needed help with.
The ability to choose either "quiz mode" or "practice mode" was helpful for simulating test conditions and also eliminated the hassle of looking up answers in the back of a book. This saved immense amounts of time.

Indeed, it is really helpful for my preparation, especially the lessons. Moreover, I really like the general design of dashboard.

Practice tests are very helpful. I got better and better with pacing myself as I did more practice tests. I also like the online courses especially for the reading comprehension session, which helped me to familiarize myself with the typical type of questions in GRE so I could read and approach each question more strategically. I am also extremely thankful for the fact that you extended my access for 8 extra days free of additional charge so that I could have access till my test day. I really appreciate how flexible and considerate you are.

The quantitative strategies and concept videos are very valuable. The flashcards are great as well. The whole practice question set up is on point, with the timer, the explanation video, and then the related material videos at the bottom. It really helped me get the most out of my time studying.

Magoosh helped me build confidence with the different types of questions in the quant sections. With only a month to study, Magoosh made it easy to pare down lessons to the essentials to improve upon my weaknesses quickly. Although I'm happy with my score (it was higher than any of my practice GRE scores) I was very disappointed to see that my GRE score "corresponds" with a 680 on the GMAT. Last year (before Magoosh) I took the GMAT and scored a 680. I know, to a certain degree, it's like comparing apples and oranges, but I wonder if I improved at all. Last year, I prepped for the GMAT with a princeton review small-class tutor. I liked Magoosh's online format better. If, god-forbid, I ever have to take one of these tests again, I would probably return to Magoosh.

I found Magoosh to be extremely helpful in the following ways: 1. The study schedules allowed me to stay as disciplined as possible while studying, and helped me guide my studies. I was not sure where to begin, and Magoosh spelled it out for me, which was nice.
2. The math videos were a great review of math I hadn't seen in a very long time, and there were even concepts that I remember learning, but that were clarified for me more than ever before through the explanations offered by the Magoosh tutors. I also appreciated actually learning the math, and not being taught tricks of test taking.

Good questions

Magoosh provides me ample questions to work on. The questions have a very similar format with the real test questions, so it won't get too panic when facing the real one. It also includes plenty of useful vocabularies. It contributes much to my points.

The most valuable thing provided by Magoosh were the study plans. I liked having a structured study plan but also the flexibility of watching the lessons and doing the practice questions on my own time. The lessons and practice questions were instrumental in helping me improve my quantitative section score. I had long since forgotten how to tackle most of the math topics covered by the GRE.

Great video lessons

The math videos were a fantastic refresher and really helped in covering good test taking strategies. I also really appreciated having video explanations for every practice problem. And the verbal flash cards were a really great way to
expand my vocabulary.

Magoosh helped me devise a systematic study plan, and offered me comprehensive access to relevant study materials and practice questions. I only wish I discovered it earlier!
