You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Practice problems were similar to those on the real test - of similar difficulty and category.

In every way literally. Without Magoosh I could never have obtained a 170. I wasn't even really aiming for a perfect score but Magoosh was that great that I got it. I think Magoosh is absolutely essential for anyone planning on taking the GRE.

The vast question database with individual explanation videos and prompts to the relevant lessons is as good as a prep program can get.

Magoosh helped me specially in mastering the question format while identifying my main gaps. I had already used magoosh to prepare for GMAT and I can say the methodology of lessons and exercises are wonderful.

Good general strategies for each multiple choice problem type as well as the writing section. Flashcards were good for vocab. Also some very good specific problem type strategies in the math section

Help me so much in verbal, especially in words

It gave me a great structure to get myself back into studying things I hadn't studied in years (I've been out of college for four years so there was a little bit of rust to kick off the old mental computer). The vocabulary flashcards were a lifesaver, as were all the math videos (because lets be honest, you don't really use most of that math in a non-academic environment so it leaves your brain).

The practice questions and practice tests also helped me reorient myself and learn how to answer the questions on the GRE (it is definitely something that once you figure out what it's looking for - and this was particularly true on the verbal section for me - then it becomes much easier to solve).

The math explanations were easy to understand, and the practice problems were more challenging than the GRE.

Magoosh provided the structure, feedback, and motivation to be persistent studying and ultimately be successful on the GRE. It was easy to learn from my mistakes because the videos clearly explained the problem solving strategies. Without a doubt Magoosh in an excellent learning experience no matter what kind of learner you are!

It helped me especially with the verbal section, great strategies to answer reading comprehension questions. I am not a native-speaker and learning vocabulary with the mobile apps was fundamental.

Magoosh is an amazing resource for international students, probably the best out there in terms both of shape and content. The math questions are tricky but not lengthy to calculate, in a very GRE-like fashion. The flashcards selection is also very accurate.

Lots of questions and amazing strategies

In my opinion, the quantitative questions in Magoosh can said to be tougher than real GRE questions and that really helps me to discover and overcome some difficult type questions in the real exam.
I also learnt a lot of techniques to solve different types of verbal questions which I didn't get a clue on how to proceed those questions before knowing Magoosh.

Magoosh was really invaluable for getting reacquainted with math concepts I haven't seen since high school! I am confident that if I'd been able to put in more time studying, I could have brought my quant score up by several more points. Thanks, Magoosh!

Very thorough preparation of the material and good test taking techniques!

Only used the math section. Practice tests were great, videos were great, question solution explanations were awesome. Magoosh doesn't go by the typical GRE training mantra of "standardized tests are stupid, here's how to cheat the system without learning anything" and really stresses the importance of the areas being tested. The question stats were incredibly helpful in determining my weaknesses and developing and effective study plan.

Doing the practice on the web is really helpful. And those instruction video is very useful.

Magoosh Math videos helped me tremendously in preparing for the questions on the test. The test was very much similar to what I had already seen from Magoosh. The practice tests were the right difficulty level as well.

The videos helped break down the concepts in a way that I could better grasp the material by using different colors and introducing concepts in a manner that was not overwhelming. The ability to customize practice question was also a huge help.

Magoosh was great because I felt like it challeneged me from the beginning. The videos were especially helpful because I got to analyze the questions like a creator of the exam.
