You, Our Next Thriving Student?

I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

Magoosh helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

Magoosh gave me a structured way to study in video format, which is a lot easier to digest than books, and I started using the Magoosh GRE vocab app daily months before the exam. Magoosh gave me everything I needed to know for the exam i.e. types of questions and strategies.

Magoosh helped me to know what to expect on the exam (this was my first time taking it) and gave me plenty of practice so I went in prepared. I also learned some of the trap answers to avoid on verbal, and strategies for solving math questions more quickly. Thank you, Magoosh!

Primary method of studying

Magoosh provided me with similar math problems to that on the GRE and has a great supply of vocabulary words and verbal problems. I could utilize a technique taught by Magoosh on almost every problem, both on the verbal and quantitative sections. My vocabulary grew over time.

The videos and question types were very similar to the types on the GRE and helped with giving tips on how to do the questions. It was also helpful to have the daily schedule to track my progress.

Magoosh was extremely useful because it provided me a way to customize practice sessions to specifically target my weaknesses. The lesson videos were an excellent way to prepare and review topics.

The video lessons broke down the math concepts for me (which I have not seen since high school) in a way that was easy to understand. It helped to to feel more confident in my math abilities.

Magoosh was great as a refresher for easier concepts and gave a lot of insight into the nuance of the test.

Practice problems

There were no surprises of any sort on the test. I recognized everything from the lessons and prep. My actual scores were very much in line with the projections on the website. Overall, I went into the test with a great deal of confidence.
